Soil PH refers to the acidity or alkalinity of your soil (on a scale of 0 to 14) with 7.0 being neutral.
The lower the number the higher the acidity.
The higher the number the higher the alkalinity.
The PH of your soil affects how a plant can utilize the available nutrients in the soil.
Soil PH can be altered using Lime or Sulfur, that will be discussed in another post.
A general PH guideline for a Vegetable Garden would be between 5.5 to 7.5, but there are exceptions.
